Console controllers just aren't as good for aiming as a mouse, and the developers have to compensate for that (stasis abilities, for example). That said, OP, if you're not finding the game exasperatingly difficult at its current setting, then is the much need to fret? I don't own the game, but I imagine that since it's a console port the game is already going to be forgiving, even on Medium. I don't find quicksaving at every corner to be entertaining or immersive, at all. I'd actually prefer to play an easy game and treat it as 'permadeath' than play on hard and be forced to reload the same level 25 times just to survive (ala Far Cry 1 where you get dropped into the jungle with next to nothing and trigens are everywhere). Personally I really don't like reloading in games. The added difficulty of New Game Plus mainly lies in the Phantom Variant of the Necromorphs, which can completely stop you in your tracks.It's completely reasonable to rather play on Easy than on Hard. Finding all 12 of these in the story will net you the secret ending. To unlock the secret ending, you have to find a new collectible, called Master Fragments.
